The NBA and WNBA Combine evaluates players on multiple fronts, including athleticism, skills, basketball IQ, and mental resilience. Our Combine Prep Program integrates all of these elements into a customized training plan, designed to maximize your performance and give you the confidence to perform under pressure.

We focus on explosive strength, speed, agility, endurance, and basketball-specific skills while also addressing mental conditioning to ensure you’re prepared for the intense competition of the NBA Combine.

  • Combine Testing Optimization: The Combine features key athletic tests that showcase your physical capabilities, and we tailor our training to help you excel in each one. These tests include:
    • Sprint Drills (Lane Agility Drill, 3/4 Court Sprint, and Shuttle Drills): We focus on first-step explosiveness, lateral quickness, and acceleration to improve your 3/4 court sprints, lane agility, and shuttle times. Athletes will work on change of direction, explosive take-offs, and rapid deceleration.
    • Vertical Leap: Using plyometrics and jump training (box jumps, squat jumps, depth jumps), we help athletes increase their lower body power and improve their ability to explode vertically, improving jump height for the vertical leap test and rebounding ability during drills.
    • Strength Tests (Bench Press & Muscular Endurance): Through targeted upper-body strength training, we focus on maximizing the number of reps in the bench press test by improving core stability, muscle endurance, and arm strength to give athletes the edge when showcasing their upper body strength.
    • Endurance and Stamina: The NBA Combine demands that athletes maintain high energy levels throughout all drills. We incorporate high-intensity interval training (HIIT), conditioning circuits, and sport-specific endurance drills to improve stamina and ensure athletes can maintain peak performance throughout the Combine.

    • Shooting Guards & Small Forwards: We refine perimeter shooting, three-point accuracy, movement off the ball, and defensive positioning. Drills focus on catch-and-shoot opportunities, coming off screens, and shooting off the dribble.
    • Forwards & Centers: We focus on finishing at the rim, post moves, rebounding, and low-post defense. Our training incorporates agility drills, rim protection techniques, and footwork for both offense and defense, ensuring that big men are prepared for their position-specific drills.
    • Defensive Drills: Our defensive training includes footwork drills, defensive positioning, closing out on shooters, and on-ball defense. Players will work on anticipation skills, lateral quickness, and defensive reads to impress scouts during combine defense drills.

    • Strength Training: We utilize compound movements (squats, deadlifts, bench press) and functional exercises to increase overall body strength, with an emphasis on lower body power (critical for jumping, rebounding, and explosive movements) and upper body endurance (for sustained performance during drills like the bench press).
    • Plyometric Training: Our plyometric workouts, such as bounding, box jumps, and medicine ball slams, focus on building explosive power for better sprinting, leaping, and overall athletic performance. We aim to increase vertical leap, acceleration, and agility.
    • Core Strength & Stability: Core stability is crucial for balance and control during all movements on the court. We incorporate planks, medicine ball throws, and rotation-based exercises to improve overall core strength and stability.

We incorporate a combination of sprinting drills, ladder drills, cone drills, and change-of-direction exercises to improve foot speed, lateral quickness, and reaction time to ensure athletes can showcase their speed in every drill.
